This project is a club that is working in Lincoln Carlton Academy primary school for the companies iCoach4Sport and VIRSCO who are currently working in primary schools across Lincoln in order to develop sports provision across the whole of Lincolnshire.

To meet the needs of our project a lunch time club has been designed, planned and ran over a 6 week period. Throughout using iCoach4Sport’s assessment system to track and evaluate the progress of the children taking part over the 6 week program. This software will allow both us and the children’s parents/guardian to look over the progress of the children on a week to week basis.

We had to make contact with the school teachers and the children to understand the needs of the school in regards to extra-curriculum activities. Once we had gained the knowledge of what the needs of the school were, we worked again with the school and its pupils to figure out what sport we would be coaching, it was important to us to find a sport where we could increase the knowledge and experience of both teachers and pupils.

Once the placement was underway we wanted to make sure that we was developing the sport provision in the school that we was working with, to ensure we was doing this we created some local club links as well as providing the school teachers with a resource pack to help create a legacy.
